Sandra E.B.B. Anaman

Sandra E.B.B. Anaman is an accomplished legal professional with over 15 years’ experience in corporate and commercial law, governance, and financial sector regulation. She currently serves as Head of Legal and Board Secretary at the Ghana Deposit Protection Corporation (GDPC), where she provides strategic legal advisory to the Board and Management, oversees corporate governance processes, and ensures regulatory compliance across the institution.

Sandra began her career at Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, one of Ghana’s leading corporate law firms, advising multinational and domestic clients on financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, stock exchange listings, and regulatory matters. She later transitioned into the public sector, where she has played a pivotal role in strengthening governance frameworks, supporting financial-sector reforms with the World Bank, IMF, and KfW, and coordinating with regulatory bodies including the Bank of Ghana and the Ministry of Finance.

She brings extensive experience in board secretarial practice. Her academic background includes an LLM in Corporate and Securities Law from the London School of Economics, an LLB from KNUST, and the Professional Law Course from the Ghana School of Law.

 

Sandra is passionate about strengthening institutional governance and aligning legal advisory with strategic corporate objectives. She brings to the mining sector a wealth of experience in governance, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and board support, positioning her as a valuable resource for sustainable growth and regulatory alignment.
